Best pizza in Pasadena!. We had the black olive, bacon pizza- well done. That means cooked extra to brown the top and crisp the bottom. It was THE BOMB! The prices are so reasonable. Best little secret pizza place around.
Best pizza I’ve ever had! I’ve ate in NY, Chicago, Philly, etc., and this place is awesome! I wanted to switch it up one day and tried Pasta Carbonara and it was delicious as well. Can’t beat the lunch special- slice (huge), salad, and 20oz for $6.

Just found out about this place. Awesome Awesome pizza. Will definitely go back.
Pasadena’s best. Truly a hidden gem in Pasadena. Super nice owner, the absolute best pizza, great subs, and you have to try the chop chop salad. You will not be disappointed in this place. It’s in the Giant shopping center in Pasadena so place your order, pick up your groceries and go home with the best dinner you have had in a while.
Fills a Real Niche in the ‘dena!. Pasadena really needed a place like this: delicious pizza available by the pie or by the slice, yummy, fresh salads, incredible subs (try the meatball parmesan…drool!!!) and all in a pleasent, clean atmosphere with fair prices and a friendly staff. What’s not to like??? Well, they’re closed on Sundays but, hey, everyone needs a day off sometimes!
Quality, real New York Pizza comes to Anne Arundel County. 1978 New York Pizza is an energetic place that’s taking Pasadena by storm. It truly is hard to find quality, authentic New York pizza in the Mid-Atlantic region, but now you have a place to go. I particularly like the crisp crust and the slightly-sweet sauce on their pies. Why is it so hard to get a really crispy crust on a pizza around here? 1978 does it and they do it right. I’ve tried the sicilian thick-crust pizza with a variety of toppings and the classic New York-style pizza. They have limited seating inside, but the place is clean with a great atmosphere. When you’re inside 1978 New York Pizza you’d think you were eating pizza in New York City. Everything here is made fresh to order, and you can order pizza by the slice or whole pies. They have other menu items featuring Italian specialties as well. Unfortunately, they’re closed on Sundays. I’m looking forward to trying new menu items in the coming months. As busy as the staff is, they are friendly. With people lined up and phones ringing and people placing orders, they always offer a friendly greeting. I have heard that their subs are plentiful and fairly-priced, so I’ll have to give them a try as well.
