Great Food, Awesome Beer!. I grew up in a German home, and it’s had to rival my Grandmother’s cooking. So I was skeptic when I went to visit the Bavarian Brauhause. The first thing to catch my attention was the atmosphere. Very clean and welcoming, with a huge bar. The beer was amazing, and I can imagine going back repeatedly just to enjoy that. If you’re a beer lover, you need to go. The special was Rouladen (one of my grandmothers specialties), and I was really impressed. It was different from grandma’s recipe, but super tasty. It held it’s own compared to her cooking. I know she would have liked it. They also make a unique apple doughnut desert that’s totally worth the splurge. The staff was great, and very attentive. Needless to say I did not leave hungry, and I’m already planning a return visit. Great food, and nice to have a German restaurant near Columbia.

Foul mouth and loud. The loud, obnoxious, foul mouthed patrons at the bar ruined a nice meal. No dinnerCan be enjoyable when the F bomb reverberates through the dining room. The bartender or manager should have a care for all the clientele and not just the locals. Shame because the meal was great but I won’t be back

Bavarian Brauhaus was a hit!. I absolutely loved the Bavarian Brauhaus! We stopped in to see what it was like, and I must say, we thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the Mac&Cheese with lobster and there was tons of lobster in it. My friend ordered Bratweurst and Barrenweurst with german noodles and the vegetable of the day. What a hit! A very German meal with a unique touch. The food was piping hot and delicious. The decor is warm and welcoming. The bar has an extensive selection of drinks (Angry Orchard on Tap- yummy!) I would highly suggest this to any of my friends or family!
