Ehh. It used to be a great place to eat, but since it has a new owner it has gone WAY DOWN HILL! The service is mediocre at best, the food lacks consistency, and the place is dirty…at least the entire floor of the kitchen…which would be tolerable if it wasn’t an open kitchen right in the dining area. If it’s a good day, the food is some of the best around. But don’t hold your breath for a good day. Those are few and far between now. Obviously the new owner is hands off and only bought the place for it’s previously money making stellar recommendation.
NO MORE. I have been coming here for years with my family. When Garry him self owned the restaurant. Since then I think the food, staff, and management has all went down hill! We still like the family atmosphere, so we try to come back many times for Sunday lunch after church and its the same routine. Host never say hello, staff seem to walk around on egg shells, and I would rather eat from 7-11. This was my last straw with Garry’s. My family and I wish Garry never sold the place.
2013 & Prejudice Still Exists. I would love it if I could give ZERO stars but I have to give at least one…Just had an unpleasant experience at Gary’s Grille Severna Park…had our names on the waiting list, two people came in after us added their names to the list and we were skipped over completely for being seated…then after I made mention of it the host went into the kitchen and said something at that time we were ready to leave because I don’t want to say race had something to do with it…but we were clearly skipped over as the names on the sheet showed a name crossed out HARRIS then Sherwood crossed out…so rather than to remain and patronize the restaurant, we chose to leave and take our business nearby to Brian Boru.I do not recommend this place because IMO I was discriminated for seating based on race and race alone.
Excellent food and service! My favorite restaurant in severna park! Crab fondue is to die for and so are the crab melts! The Gary’s salad is the best salad ive ever had!

My wife and I had breakfast there this morning and it was the best! We are new to the area so we based our decision on reviews online. They were very helpful and proved to be correct in all the positive ways! The crispy French toast with berry dressing was out of this world meanwhile the Florentine Benedict was cooked perfectly and the homemade hollandaise must have had a bit of lemon and old bay! I would definitely recommend Garry’s Grill to everyone in the area!
Bad Service, SUPER TINY SEATS. As you pull up in the strip mall parking lot and try to find a place to park you’ll find a worn down gym to the left and a run down bank to the right. First/Immediate impression is that this place is a dump….. it is.Your greeted at the dirty front door by some of the rudest people that you can possibly imagine and filthy furniture. When it’s your turn to get a seat you’ll be forced into SOME OF THE TINEST BOOTHS on the east coast. Let me focus on just how tiny these booths are. They are so tiny that children have a hard time squeezing in. Old ladies get stuck and average sized men push themselves to get out.Besides the rude service, filth and doll house seating this place is great. I recommend that you try the french toast. It’s yummy.My recommendation to Garry’s Grill….1. Clean up the place. Replace the carpet, clean/replace the seating.2. Teach your service staff about manners. Perhaps a toast masters class would be helpful.3. What the hell are you doing with those tiny booths? Get rid of them.
