EXCELLENT! Lovely ambiance, friendly service and Delicious food!! Who would have thought a whole in the wall next to KMart would be this good! The menu offers a variety of American/Chinese cuisine, traditional Chinese, Japanese and some fusion. Sushi/Sashimi: gorgeous and fresh. Generous potions with minimal rice. Age Tofu: light and crispy…although the coating absorbs quite a bit of oil. Pork Bao: fresh and delicious! The bao is like a cloud and made in house. The fatty pork belly is yummy…wish there was more of it. Not a huge fan of the shredded lettuce (I think they could have added something more traditional), but it adds the crunch and freshness needed to cut the fatty pork belly. Ramen: all delicious! Fusion b/w pho and ramen, but the fresh veggies were very very good. The scallops in the seafood ramen were fishy and not fresh.
Excellent sushi and outstanding service…and on Christmas. We will definitely be back on another night. I’m taking a carry out menu for good measure
Best Sushi in Annapolis Area!. Sushi restaurants in downtown Annapolis are always the first off everyone’s tongue, but the only one you need to know about is Nova. It bests all the sushi places on Main Street. The staff is friendly, knows the regulars, and the sushi is head and shoulders above anywhere else. If you don’t see something on the menu that exactly fits your taste (which is almost impossible given the variety), just ask the waiter to have Paul or Danny make something up based on your favorite flavors. Hands down best seafood from Baltimore to Edgewater.
Nova – new delight!. Nova’s sushi combo platter was delicious, although $18 felt a little overpriced for carryout, and the Clay Pot only had there shrimp. However, the decor is lovely, the atmosphere serene, and the servers articulate in describing each dish. Don’t overlook this shopping center location for nice meal any day of the week.
Favorite Local Sushi Chef finally opens his own place!!. This new restaurant right next to the KMart in the South River Colony is brand new, opened by Li Pol (Paul Lee), former sushi chef from Fuji Steakhouse (South River Colony). He provides decently priced sushi that is always fresh, and unique maki and specialty roll offerings. The menu provides a large selection of rolls, created by Li, as well as many appetizers and non-sushi entrees. The staff is very friendly and provide great service. Definitely a place to stop in for lunch or dinner.
