Olive Grove Linthicum heights,MD. I will never dine here again. The waiter over charged my credit card after accepting the total dollars in cash. So basically I paid the bill twice. Now I have to suffer for his mistake. They did not reslove this issue, nor did they offer any compensation for this inconvience. I feel they were trying to get over and were caught. My Bank will have to reslove this issue.
Also the service was horrible20 Nov, 2011Crab cake wasnt that good… And it was cold
Huge crab cakes. That’s all.
Frozen?. I hated it. Plain and simple. My first night in the area my traveling companion told me he got a good word from our hotel shuttle drive on the Olive Grove. Well, I guess i should have gotten the crab cakes that everyone has been raving about below because my scallop entree was disgusting. Watery and flacid I am pretty sure they were frozen which makes zero sense to me. The decor was dated and dirty looking, which would have been fine if the food was good but….hey the server was nice.
The food is delicious. I have enjoyed everything that i have tasted here but my favorites are the crab cakes and the seafood fettucini (with fresh parm). Very large portions. The sangria is also fabulous. The staff are great. They also have a very attractive frequent customer program.
Every town should have one. 1970s decor in a huge roadside complex, old school Americanized red sauce Italian, party rooms in the back, all-you-want salad and bread sticks that put the chains to shame, and low prices (not to mention great crab cakes). I can think of a lot of places that are more creative, fancier, and maybe friendlier, but I’d rather eat here and feel like I got good value and no surprises.
Not for singles …for me anyway. I went there alone while stayin at a local hotel. The receptionist didn’t greet me, she just looked up and said ,’one’? She them mentioned to the other receptionist that she’d ‘put me in the back’, whicl she proceeded to do. And I mean WAY back… Right next to the families with babies and swinging kitchen doors with waiters running in and out. The place is in need of a facelift. Some may call it charming, I call it dated. Anyway I ordered anglass of wine and then proceeded to wait. And wait. And wait. I finally got tired of waiting, dropped some cash on the table and left, so I can’t comment on the food. The wine, a chianti, was very mediocre, especially for an italian place. Ended up at Ruby Tuesdays down the road. Predictable, but much nicer surroundings and an attentive wait staff.
