Yummy!. Husband and I went here for dinner on Saturday night (we made a reservation). Huge craft beer selection was great, but lots of IPA’s which I’m not it really into. When I asked the server about one of the seafood dishes she was incredibly honest with me and told me that her other table just sent the same dish back saying that the shrimp tasted funny and she advised me to steer clear of the dish. I was really impressed by her honesty and that she saved me from having to possibly send the food back. Husband had the steak frites and was impressed by the cut and the cook on the steak. So often you say medium and it comes out well done. It came sliced and cooked perfectly and their fries were really good too! I had the chicken sandwich which I really enjoyed. Overall, I was very happy with the total time we were there (less than an hour) and they were able to have all of our food so quickly. Will defiantly be going back!
Breath of fresh air and then some!. Thank God for this great new spot in the Park! In what has become a bit of a culinary (not to mention late-night) desert, Park Tavern is bringing it in a big way. On my second (of what will be become many) visits, we had dinner at the bar. The smoky Manhattan and incredible rosemary-infused-whiskey-cocktail-whose-name-escapes-me were both dynamite. The bar staff was highly attentive despite being very busy. My friend and I enjoyed the Shoshito peppers and crab dip fritters as apps, both were solid. For dinner we had the shrimp and grits and the NY Strip. Both totally rocked! This place is a cut above what SP has to offer and the new owners should be proud of their hard work.
First time here (opened ~a week), just had beers. Love the decor and the vibe, decent beer selection, love the fact that 4 beers are on nitro, and the menu looks appetizing BUT pricey! $14 for a burger, $24 for shrimp and grits – COME ON MAN!
