Delicious!. My family goes almost every Sunday afternoon. One of the few restaurants that pleases everyone in my family! From the hot chips and delicious salsa to start to the absolute best sopapillas I have ever put in my mouth for dessert. We have eaten here more times than I can count and have never had a disappointing meal here!
Horrible experience. We went for my daughters birthday. The entire experience was a mess. The waitress was sweet but was unavailable the majority of the time. While waiting for our food we couldn’t help but notice there is a musty smell of mold. The building was given a new look but it is old and obviously has other issues. When the food arrived the food runner couldn’t figure out what the food was and kept staring at the dishes trying to guess what they were. When we finally ate the food was lukewarm or some people in our party received downright cold food that was supposed to be hot. The service is slower than a snail. The food is very blah. We were all so frustrated. It ruined my daughters birthday. We won’t return.
I’m not one to complain about food, but I live in Crofton and have true this place several times now. Each time I walk away more frustrated and upset. Cold chips with salsa. I ordered cheese enchiladas – they had tomato paste over them. Not good. People next to me had paid for 2 drinks and left. Service and good sub-par. Why go here when there is Mi-Casita down the road and they have wonderful service and great food!!??
I like the atmosphere and the servers and the owner were super friendly! I like the food too. It’s hard to find good Mexican good in Maryland so for Maryland it’s really good!
Family Dinner. Based on what the restaurant looked like on the outside I decided to give it a try. The food was bland and I was not impressed at all. The wait staff is so so. When I got here here was no hostess so I stood at the door and waited and waited. Someone from the bar saw me standing there, but did not take the initiative to say someone will be with you. I had to keep asking for refills on m soda because they just weren’t being proactive. I don’t plan on going back because I feel the food is not good.They also say its a family restaurant, but they don’t have a baby changing table in the restrooms.
My husband’s and my favorite Mexican food in MD!. So I too am shocked at all the bad reviews!!! My husband and I go here all the time! I LOVE the chile rellenos, and they have this *crazy* awesome appetizer with melted cheese, poblanos, and chorizo. The margaritas are also the best we’ve found since moving to Maryland from San Diego. – Mind you, I get the nicer margaritas, but they’re not made with a sad mix for once! They’re lime juice and simple syrup – SO MUCH BETTER!! It’s true the service isn’t consistent (sometimes great, sometimes not as much) but when you have a good margarita and fresh chips, who cares??
