Don’t go mid-day. I made the mistake of going to this restaurant around 3 PM. I saw Asian bistro in the title and thought of Pei Wei, so I thought I could get in and out quickly. The staff were all sitting around eating…there were no other customers in the restaurant…that should have been my first sign. This place should close mid-day. I told the server I was in a rush and placed my order. Strike 1: When they started cleaning the floor with bleach while I was waiting on my food, I decided to get the order to go because of the bleach smell…glad they sanitize the place, but not a very appetizing smell. The server now tells me that it’ll be a while for the Hamachi Jalapeo because there’s no one in the sushi area to make it for me. That’s strike 2. Do I really need a strike 3? The kitchen had started the Thai grilled steak salad I ordered, so I waited for it to take with me. It was actually good, but the grilled steak was not even warm. Use your own judgment.
Won’t go back!. Hostess on cell phone & texting. 25 minute wait mid-afternoon for 2 maki and 2 soups! Very pricy for lousy service and average food. Soup had stems of lemongrass left in it that the unfamiliar diner would not know to remove, loud rap music in a nearly empty Asian sports bar – NOT was I hoped for or paid for.
The Dynamite Roll and Rainbow Roll were very good but a little pricey. Service could be better. Server had a flat personality, not polite at all.
Great food and atmosphere. Very nice atmosphere and great food. The A/C was broken when we arrived, but they had it fixed by the time we left. Very nice staff. When I get a hankering’ for good Thai, I go here, GI!
The food here was awesome. A little pricey but well worth it. We got a couple of sushi rolls and I was very impressed. We had the special for the night which was a dynamite lobster roll and it was amazing! Our dinners were also very good. I tried the Thai pineapple fried rice and it was really good. The portions are big too so I have leftovers. I will definitely go back here again.
Decent food but oh, the prices. Nice pan-Asian menu with lots of sushi and Japanese food, some Chinese, a few Thai and Korean dishes. The plusses: service was excellent, food came fast and hot, enough variety to please everyone. Minuses: high prices, small (ish) portions, obvious cost cutting. Sushi and rolls were good, some fairly inventive, but not as fresh as, say, Sushi King in Columbia. Mongolian beef had a very high onion to beef ration, especially considering the price. Pad Thai was mainly bean sprouts. Dinner for six with no dessert or alcohol (but with 18% automatic gratuity) was $104: a little bit of sushi, one appetizer, three entrees, two teas and one soda for $100? Yikes. Oldest daughter loves the rolls, so we took her as a goodbye meal the night before she went back to college after spring break. Better Asian food available elsewhere for much less.
Price to high. Did not enjoy.
