Awful service, mediocre food. We had brunch here on Mother’s Day and it was by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had! Our reservation was for 10:30, we were seated but didn’t receive menus for over 30 min. At 11 we finally ordered drinks and food at once since at that point my 6 year old was so hungry he was falling apart. The food took over an hour to arrive, and it was a sad sight: over cooked eggs, oily fries chicken tenders for the kids that could have come out of a happy meal. Our server was unattentive and rude while the manager seemed overwhelmed, what should have been an easy meal turned into a 2 and a half hour debacle. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

I thought I saw Ernest. I am a victim of reading too much Hemingway when I was young, and my continuing search for that perfect place to meet friends for a little conversation, good wine and great food has often been disappointing. Sams is truly an exception. This is a place where the chef comes out to talk with you; he’s passionate about his food. The white snapper, skin on-crisp, over a bed of rissotto; corn chowder with saffron, and the french Rhone (Chateauneuf du Pape) were perfect. So too was the service. Truly inspirational.15 Oct, 2012Not Just Another Restaraunt. What a great find. I dine in Annapolis quite often, but never made it over to this end of town. Though I love seafood, the other options on the menu were refreshing. I had the nights special, the rack of boar, and the chef’s wonderful pate. It was a delight, including the accompanying french pinot noir. The atmosphere is low key. And the soft jazz was a treat. Not just another Annapolis restaurant.
