Great Food. Always really really good food, and yes as everyone else has said their service blows. I will take a 30 second rude exchange for a wonderful pizza any day of the week though.
These people should not be in a service business. I have been going to this business for 8 years, and have ignored the service aspect of the place because the food was mostly good and convenient. The last couple of times we have been into the restaurant the rude behavior of the people in the store hit new lows. It is almost like they are trying to run off their customers. Fortuneately, over the past couple of years there are more carryout options in the Edgewater area. Do yourself a favor and patronize establishments that want your business and act like it. I truly feel sorry for these people, as I remember what it was and I can see what it has turned into.

I have lived about 20 min from them for years & am more than happy to drive past my local places to go here. They have the best food ever!!!! Everything home made & they will make anything you want. I keep reading the reviews about bad service,but the man & woman who are usually working are the owner & her boyfriend. They are ALWAYS there! So if the dude is grumpy cuz he works 15 hr days 7 days a week,get over it! You only need to speak to them to place your order. They work hard to give you great food,I have NEVER had bad food in the 20 yrs I’ve been going there.
Good food, terrible service. Subs and pizza are delicous. Bread is homemade and wonderful. Service is slow and unfriendly so if you want eat here or call in for takeout you will have to suck it up and take the abuse.
I LOVE it!. First of all, they make their own bread, pizza crust, cakes, pastries and pies!They will make anything you want. I went in last week and said I wanted part of a certain sandwich and part of a certain salad and they made exactly what I wanted.Every time I have been, I have been happy with my meal and the value.I am so glad they are close to home!
Rudest people ever! Moved to the area and had heard they had good food, so on moving day I went to get a few subs. The man taking my order wad gruff and ride, even after I had mentioned sln of the good things I had heard about then and that we were new to the area and excited to find a new local spot. So much for that… Luckily the Old Stein is right down the street and is amazing!
