Umai Sushi House in Deale, Md.. Oh my, what a wonderful surprise…the fresh Sushi served there is outstanding. I love this little get away. Always meet people you know as well. Very comfortable surroundings. Pleasant staff and very friendly. I urge anyone who truly loves sushi to go there. Excellent menu options!
Absolutely amazing! I’ve been to a handful of sushi bars in Annapolis, Baltimore, and DC and this is by far the best. The sushi is extremely fresh and the presentation quality is fantastic. Umai sushi has quickly become my go to spot for sushi.

Love this place. Such a surprise to have Umai Sushi House in our little corner of the world. Wonderful, fresh sushi and delicious Korean dishes like bibimbap and bulgogi. When softcrabs are in season the Spider roll is addictive. The brown rice tea is smoky and delicious.
Enjoyable and repeatable.. I am a very discerning sushi eater. I judge on taste, texture, quality, and appearance. I also take into account service, timeliness, and atmosphere. Deale Umai Sushi House has all of these qualities in spades. The bright happy exterior welcomes you into a small yet cozy dinning area, that is filled with plenty of sitting and dominated by a prominent sushi bar. The waitstaff are all welcoming, happy, and helpful. They seated me promptly and presented me with the a la carte and entree menus. Even though I was getting take out they offered me a very tasty fried cream cheese filled dumpling on the house. The texture and flavor were both extremely satisfying.There menu is well organized and diverse. I had trouble trying to decide what to choose only because it all looked so tempting. Though once my order was placed, it was only 10 minutes at the most before I was handed a beautiful display of carry out sushi.The colors were rich and the smell was fresh. The taste was a prefect meld of fish and ingredients, Nothing got lost in the mix. Though I will forewarn those who are sensitive to spice. The chef’s spicy California roll required a lot of water. But for those who enjoy their spicy tuna when it lives up to its name this is the sushi for you. The nice slow burn did not over power the flavors but rather enhanced them. The textures as well played a role to make the overall eating experience pleasant. The pricing is on par with other quality sushi restaurants in the Annapolis area. You will get what you pay for and for what you pay you will get a lot. The Deale Umai Sushi House is an establishment that I will recommend to all my friends and will myself patronize often. I hope that you will try it for yourself and be as satisfied as I am.
