The Kelley’s. We have been getting crabs from Lady Francis for years and have never had crabs any better. The staff and service is the best 10 stars. The only place to get crabs. great size, always heavy with meat, & their seasoning is fabulous.
Consistently stunning!. It’s tough to make great crabs time after time. Most crab houses depend on a hit-or-miss supply, buying from commercial crabbers who are looking to retail their catch for the best price, while the restaurant is looking to pay the cheapest price. Well, not LF – they have their own boats, and obviously know where to find the best crabs in any season. That’s just the beginning, because even if you have a pile of great lively crabs, if you cook them wrong you will wind up with some that are stiff, overcooked hot dogs, and some that are undercooked runny mush. You need a steamer big enough to do the job, and a cook that knows how to move those shells in and out.And then there’s the seasoning! Phenomenal taste, and plenty of it, actually spread fairly evenly through the crabs instead of just dumped on top before serving. I’d recommend Lady France’s to anyone who wants to try real Maryland seafood, made the old-fashioned, time-intensive way with skilled labor.Did I mention the price? More than reasonable. Call around, get quotes, and LF will come in around the 50% (right in the middle of the range) mark – but for much better quality. Shh. Don’t tell them that. Just enjoy.
