Best Pit Beef you’ll ever eat. Ok, I’m a true blue Baltimorean, born and raised, and I’ve searched high and low, near and far, all over Maryland for the best Pit Beef sandwich, and well, I’ve found it. Trust me, I’ve been to Chap’s, as well as a dozen other Pit Beef vendors, but nothing quite matched up to the flavor or texture of their Pit beef, or the ambiance this little place doles out. Whether you’re a purest who only want Pit beef on his sandwich, or you like to load it up with some onions, tiger sauce, and/or honey barbecue sauce, median rare or median, this is the best Pit Beef sandwich you’ll ever have. Not only does this little shack serve you one of the most delicious sandwiches in Maryland (hell, maybe in the whole friggin’ world), but you just can’t beat going through the line in this little road side shack, in the middle of seemingly nowhere, while being presented a fresh, right off the pit, sample slice of the meat of your choice before you purchase it, and then sit down in a nice old-fashioned outside picnic table, to enjoy your glorious sandwich. If that’s not the ultimate Baltimorean experience (besides getting some crabs or going to an Orioles game), well then, I don’t know what is. So if you like Pit Beef, a great sandwich, or a nice little place to have lunch with a friend, please, do your self a favor, drive down North Rolling Road, and put a smile on your face when you see a tiny little shack with the simple words ‘PIT BEEF’ on the roof, you won’t be disappointed.
