My friends and I visited MaGerks pub today for lunch around 1:30 pm . since we were off work we decided to stop in for a bite to eat since we haven’t been there in a long time . first we were very impressed by the renovations but not impressed by the service . The Hostess were very nice and Egerly sat us down but our waiter (young male ) was horrible . our drinks took forever to get and it seemed like he never wanted to take out order .. after ordering we waiting an hour for 2 soups, salad and a wrap. My party contemplated leaving because of the service being horrible .. the food was average and nothing to rave about . WE WILL NOT be going back to MaGerks anytime soon.
A step above chain bar & grills. Imagine an Applebee’s/TGI Friday’s type place and make everything about it better. That’s MaGerk’s. Better food (especially the cheesesteaks), better appetizers (tempura pickles FTW), less annoying servers and less garbage nailed to the walls. But still not anything mind-blowingly amazing.
90%?!. I’m not sure why this place is getting such rave reviews. I suppose if you’re in your mid 30s/40s and need a place to get drunk, this is on par with Looney’s. The food is miserable here. I had the quesadilla there and it was a homemade abortion. Don’t bother. Move along, there is nothing to see here.
Really? This is the beat place to eat in Harford County? It’s considered a chain in my book, and the cheese steak I had was chewy and watery. No thanks. I’ll go to drink, that’s about it.

Not bad. Went during Harford County’s Restaurant Week, so we ended up eating off that special menu. Menu is pretty big, too; its your typical bar food. But a few things stuck out from the menu that I’d love to try out. Nice large Patio, that had a live band playing as well.

The special pre fixe menu was good, but I’ll stick with the regular menu in the future! The Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls sound like you just can’t go wrong!!! Menu is pretty big, too; its your typical bar food. Looks like they have a nice, rentable dining hall. Sat on the patio and listened to the live band. Overall great, classic experience.
