Great. Just wanted to comment on the SPECTACULAR service I recieved at this Outback location on Father’s Day (6/17). I came in fully prepared for the long wait, but I used the call-ahead seating feature that Outback offers. My call ahead time was 630 and I was at my table within 5 minutes. Wow…was not expecting that! The girls at the front were very welcoming and made sure that every guest was greeted and attended to. I had only been to Outback a few times before so I had never tried the filet and I am so glad I did- cooked perfectly. My waitress (started with an A? Ashley? Amanda?) never let my drink reach half empty! Very sweet and got a nice tip for it 🙂 Upon leaving, the staff at the door was very friendly and even asked me how my meal was! Will definitely be returning back to this location!!

Out of Prime Rib. I took my mother there for a belated Mother’s Day celebration, the Tuesday afterwards. We usually order the prime rib. But when we ordered it there was no mention that they were out of it. We sat had a drink ate our salads and appetizer. Then we were told we couldn’t get what we ordered. They apologized and offered us anything else. But this was the second time this has happened to us. Tell me ahead of time and I’ll go somewhere else. Don’t wait until we were ready to eat our entrees. The manager was good about it, but that isn’t the point. It was 6:30PM on a Tuesday. They shouldn’t be out of a popular dish at that time. Strike Two. It will be a while to go back and let them try for strike three.

A decent chain site. Grade: C+Outback is enough of a standard chain that you can usually bank on the reliabiltiy of the food. They do have good beef in a variety of forms and a number of dishes that are executed well. Where you have to be careful is in the seasoning. Their two cooking methods – flat-top grilled or wood grilled – each have their own approach to seasoning. In the hands of an inexperienced cook, it can lead to sodium overload. That happened to me.Fortunately, the staff took immediate corrective action and brought a new piece of meat (prime rib, in this case), one even bigger than I’d ordered, that was cooked perfectly.I’ve usually found the Caesar salad here to be good, but this one was overdressed. As much as I love garlic, this salad beat me up a bit. Just a note to self to order the dressing on the side. As long as you assume that treatment to any dish might be too strong, and order accordingly, Outback will work in a pinch.05 Dec, 2011A good standby. Grade: B-The steaks are good and prepared well. The prime rib was surprisingly good – tender, juicy, great flavor. They make a nice Caesar salad and their bread is tasty. If someone said that a group of us were to meet up at Outback, I wouldn’t object.
