I went here for my mom’s 70th birthday cake!! I wanted a beautiful Hawaiian colored cake. I got orange and pink icing on the sides. This was supposed to be a amazing cake for 114.00 it better be!!! And it was nothing that I order at all!! It was plain looking and I was very upset to the point that I didn’t even want to put it out at the party! I couldn’t even try and get a new one or go somewhere else to get a cake. I should be refunded my money back!! I will never go back there again!! This bakery is absolutely horrible!!

Horrible Service. I order my daughter’s 1st birthday cake from the Bel Air location. Although, the cake tasted great, the customer service was horrible! They seemed kind of racist toward my fiance’ and I. They wanted us to pay the full amount of the cake days before the cake was finished. It was a 2 tier cake, but a deposit only should have been needed until the cake was finished. The staff there called and left rude disrespectful voicemails. We paid 90% of the deposit on a credit card and 10% in cash, when we got there they were closing down before the time they were scheduled to close, after we called them and told them we were coming to pay that day. Then the lady told me that I couldn’t pay with a credit card and cash, I asked her was there an ATM around and she sayed we’re closed, but once I told her I didn’t want the cake no more she then decided to try and process my order. After that, the lady charged me wrong 3 times in a row and got frustrated because she didn’t know how to work the cash register right and then she turned around and complaind about the method we decided to pay. I picked my daughters cake up the day of her party and it was pouring down raining. As the staff is giving me my cake I ask them where the lid is for my cake, mind you the cake is a 2 tier cake, and they tell me there is no lid for cakes this size and once I said I wanted to speak to the owner they immediately said they will make me a lid. I left a message for the owner to call me so I could tell her about the rude customer service, before I left with the cake. Tthe owner never called me. So I called them myself and the owner NEVER apologized for her employees rude manners, all she could say was that she would talk to them and that they needed to be reminded of their manners sometimes and she chuckled after she stated that. I will NEVER go back to that place nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Horrible looking cake and poor customer service. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My aunt recommended this bakery because she had used them in the past and was satisfied. My experience this past Saturday was horrible because they dont seem to have decent enough customer service skills to handle one of their own screw ups. Well never patron them again. They were gracious enough to allow me to do a long distance order for a specialty/picture cake via mail (USPS). I ordered a print of the picture I needed on the cake and had it mailed directly to Woodlea. Per the manager, the picture was distorted and too small. Fine. This time I went to Staples and had the photo printed myself so that I could see exactly what was getting shipped to Woodlea. Laurie and I agreed that the last picture was all good. All seemed to be copasetic, that is until I went to pick up the cake I arrived at Woodlea, stated my order, was presented with the cake and then offered to check out. The girl didnt even say anything about the picture on the cake being messed up. The picture on the cake was completely and clearly messed up. She just shrugged it off. I asked why there were a bunch of big dark streaks through the photo on the cake. It was just like a really horrible print out. She was like I dont know. I can get the owner. The owner came out and basically stated that she didnt know what had happened and that there was nothing that they could do. Umm… Do they not bother to look at a cake after a specialty picture has been applied? This wasnt one small streak, but several long dark streaks across about 30% of the picture. They werent very apologetic about any of it. She offered a discount, but who gives a crap about a discount when their product looks like poop?! I was stuck with a really crappy looking cake the night before my event. The whole point of a specialty cake is to get something nicer than average, special. The cake looked a mess. Had they have called me before I arrived and told me their machine was experiencing difficulty and then maybe I could have decided to go with a plain cake with text or something. Never, never, ever again!

Very Happy Birthday. My girlfriend is extremely picky when it comes to her cake, and if I get her a bad one, she won’t be shy to let me know. I got her the shadow cake (half vanilla, half-chocolate cake with vanilla icing covered in chocolate ganache) from Woodlea and she absolutely loved it! Will become a repeat customer for sure.
