Poparkville. Took a party of 9 to celebrate our wedding anniversary on Sat. Feb.25th.Food was good as usual and our waitress was a real sweetheart, couldn’t do enough for us.We were freezing at our table everytime they opened the front door..For the business it does it is ridiculous not to have some sort of buffer to stop the wind from rushing in when the door is open.IF YOU INTEND TO GO THERE DO NOT GO IN THE WINTER.
Awful just awful this place is the worse. My lobster smelled like ammonia, garnish was brown, slow service, the only good thing is the crab cake, which is excellent I must admit.
BEST SEAFOOD & STEAK. My husband and I went to By the Docks for a day after Christmas dinner. I ordered the stuffed Lobster tail and he had the Surf and Turf. I can’t say enough good about this restaurant. Whereas some places serve the stuffed lobster with a minimum amount of stuffing over the tail mine had a large mound over the top and down the sides of the tail. The imperial crab was perfect and the lobster was tender and sweet. My husband was very pleased with his steak and cake and I must say he is hard to please! Keep up the good work!
Jewels of the Sea…if you haven’t had it, you should!
These crab cakes are amazing!! The best I’ve ever had. I don’t think I have ever had a bad meal at this place. They are wonderful. And it seems everything is 10 times better since they changed to this new ownership! I would highly recommend for a casual dinner, romantic night out or lunch!!
Nice place to dine.. I was by myself, so sat at the bar. The place was well lit and clean. I ordered a beer, then ordered the cream of crab soup and their special of crab stuffed 1/4 pound whole main lobster, with 2 sides. The soup was OK. It was barely seasoned, though they did provide a basket with salt, pepper and old bay. I felt that the soup itself was too minimum. Without seasoning it was flour paste with some crab in it. The old bay at least made it taste good enough to eat.I had a fresh salad with blue cheese dressing as one of the sides, it was very good. The other side was basic mixed vegetables, they were ok.I was very happy with the main course. A generous amount of crab stuffing, lots of crab this time, and sweet lobster. They run specials during the week that are worth looking into.
Two large crab cakes to die for.
