Good atmosphere, sub-par food. Didn’t check US before we went in. looked like an interesting place and it is! If you’re looking for a place to drink on the water then this is a great place. If, however, you’re looking for good food at reasonable prices then look elsewhere. We ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken skewers app. which was not spicy at all and came with an unidentifiable sweet brown sauce that had the consistency of jelly. For our entree we ordered the prime rib fajitas. Ice never encountered so much gristle in prime rib so not sure if that’s what it is. It was also as dry as the Mojave. The service also left something to be desired. You would think that you would get great service when you’re one of two tables in the restaurant but that was not the case. Apparently if you aren’t drinking alcohol then you don’t need to ever be refilled. Disappointing.
Best crab balls on the Shore. Not the best crab soup. Lots of crab but strange after taste. Service is great and view of waterfront is tops.
What Happened?. What has happened to the food at Snappers? I love going here…the atmosphere, people, tiki bar, etc…but today was really a disapointment!! The backfin crab quasidilla was horrible, there was more onion than crab, and the crab that was on there (what little bit was on there), was in no way shape or form backfin! The prices have gone up, but the quality and quantity has gone down.
Wow! In a good way. Snappers on the waterfront was the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. The decor was fun and festive but still functional and very clean. The server (Gary) was super knowledgeable of the menu and kept up with my glass with refills. The owners came out to check on my wife and I and i’m pretty sure we have new friends now. With a diverse menu, of food and drinks, fun atmosphere, tiki bar, waterfront dining and good service this place is definitely a must visit. ***** 5 stars for Snappers.
A Plus. My experience at Snappers has always been above satisfactory.. between the atmosphere, the food, the waitstaff, and the simple fact of knowing I can come to the tiki bar and find at least a handful of my good friends makes this one of the only places I recommend. I was truly disappointed to read the reviews left on this page.. it makes a bad name for a great place. The fact that some people do not belong out in public shouldn’t have an affect on the restaurant’s outstanding reputation.
They should change their name to crappers! Crab cakes were good but wayyyy overpriced! Stay away unless you like being ripped off
