Good food, good service ****. Great home style cooking – the jerk chicken, greens, and sweet potatoes were like eating at my neighbor’s house – tasty and filling. The amount of food,for the price, is very good. Better than fast food carb calories, get fresh food or homestyle cooked dishes with friendly service. One of those good eats – hole-in-the-wall small scale restaurants. Nothing fancy, just good food and service.
While visiting, I read about Lucky’s and thought I’d try it out. I was craving a good breakfast. I loved it. The food was great and the service was equally wonderful! The staff made you feel welcome and were very attentive. Food was hot and delicious. If you want a home cooked breakfast plus fresh fruit This is the place.
Down Home All The Way. Don’t let the industrial store front and meager-looking interior turn you off–Lucky’s is basic, down-home food. I’ll never forget that the owner ordered a case of veggie patties for me because I asked him to add something for vegetarians on the menu. These folks will bend over backwards to please your palate. Although standard soul food is available, Lucky’s does have pretty good salads available on the menu and will make it to order. Their crowd-pleasing breakfast is now served seven days a week, all day long. The breakfast is the best, and such a good value too. It’s one of my go-to places when I want a Southern-style breakfast.
