Horrible Food/ Great aerver. The server was great, the food was horrible. The French onion soup had to pieces of French bread on top of the onions than topped with cheese. HORRIBLE. The steak was mostly gristle and fat, mashed potatoes were like paste. The rolls were more like biscuits. The bottled root beer was GREAT.

Generational dining. My spouse and I are in our mid-thirties and the couple times we’ve been here we have been the youngest patrons. It seems to appeal more to an older generation. Food wasn’t memorable enough to recommend anything, however I do remember it being pricier than I thought it was worth. Service was decent.

Service was poor and slow. No customer service skills from what appeared to be the manager and server. For a bill over $100 for two people you expect it not to take 30 minutes for a server to come up and get a drink order. Terrible and I will never go back. Used to like the place 10 yrs ago

Retail Manager. Service was quite poor. We had to wait 1 hour for an ok appetizer. I ordered a Lobster Salad and it was tiny…maybe 5 bites worh of food. My husband ordered the crab cake which was cold at best and very small. We will never return to the Bowman restaurant. Such a true disappointment.

They do the simple things right where so many other places fail. Stopped by for a meal with the wife before going to the BSO. I had the stuffed shrimp w/crab imperial, asparagus and baked potato, wife had something that I remember was good but can’t recall what it was .. should have wrote the review the other week when we were there. The stuffed shrimp was quiter good and the asparagus were cooked perfectly .. so often overcooked at many restaurants. Service was good. We dined in the front of the restaurant on the bar side as I’ve always liked the windows and the setup on that side. Will surely be going back soon.

CrabCakeStupendous. Though a little on the small size, the fried crab cake was Ah-may-zing. Served with home made tartar and cocktail, I ordered the platter with redskinned mashed potatoes I thought were a little gummy (home made peppery brown gravy helped) and a delicious, fresh side salad. It was a meal worth the occasion – putting a contract on a house! Courtesy my realtor. I’ll be broke soon enough, so my next trip to The Bowman maybe far away, but the meal memory and occasion will linger!
