Great Food, horrible Decor. Smoky’s offers fantastic food. We’ve been there several times and it never dissapoints. The chicken, brisket, chili, fries – it’s all great. But the atmosphere is not very inviting. Brightly lit with horrible outdated seating. Seems like they could do so much better with a larger place with better interior.
It’s no Andy Nelson’s. Smokey’s provides slightly above average bbq foods. We’ve had the bbq chicken, pit beef, turkey, and ribs. The green beans seam to be from a can instead of fresh or frozen and the $2 baked potato is about 1/3 of the size I would expect at a bbq joint. I will go back again because its local but if I have the time I will drive the extra distance to Andy Nelsons in Cockeysville where the bbq is in another league.

French fries that just thinking of them makes my mouth water. And the best Maryland crab soup in the area! When my wife was pregnant, she had me drive 45 minutes because she was craving Smokey’s BBQ!
