Good food and friendly atmosphere. My mother lives at Charlestown, so we are always looking for a place to take her out that is not too far away. Catonsville Gourmet has been a pleasure every time. It isn’t always easy to find a spot that can please her and my family as well…that’s 3 generations of tastes. We all have found good choices prepared well here. Of course the seafood is great, and we all love the crab cakes. The desserts are wonderful as well.
Ice cold food, over cooked under seasoned fish & scallops and while the atmosphere could be seemingly pleasant, the rudeness of the staff took away from it.
Perfect Date Night. My boyfriend and I love it here and it is our go to celebration or feeling fancy location. Everything we have had to eat is amazing and perfectly done. The waiters are polite, courteous and just so knowledgeable of the menu. Arbutus doesn’t have much to offer so we come here and we will be coming back for a long time to come.
Good lunch. The fish and chips where crisp and delicious. They were served in a smaller portion than most restraints, which I liked. Excellent Maryland crab soup- just the right proportions of crab and vegetables.
Regulars no more. We were regulars, but no longer. Good luck with this place. Owner refuses to acknowledge bad meals. If your food comes out unlike the way your ordered it, they won’t acknowledge it.
SO good. Homemade pappardelle with lobster and crab in tomato cream sauce? Somebody slap me! It was fabulous for dinner and the leftovers made a great breakfast the next day. Calamari appetizer could have been fried a little longer; the blackened diver scallops were undercooked too. But the Smith Island cake made all of the small annoyances vanish. Can’t wait to go back! Will definitely order off the sandwich/small plate menu next time. The entrees are pricy, but for a special occasion, well worth it.
