Poor customer service. Arrived 25 mins before closing tried ordering 3 different items and was told they either did not have any more or the deep fryer was off already….. If closing time is a set time why would you turn off you cooking equipment prior to closing? That would be like a big box retailer locking their doors prior to closing doesn’t make sense too me….
Great bbq, friendly people, tiny location. The food id great, but plan to do takeout. Did I say the food was great.
Hit or Miss. The place is pretty good. At times the brisket is unbelievable and other times a little dry.. The smoked Kielbasa is always good in my opinon.. I think the earlier the better for the food.. sometimes they run outta stuff later in the day.. I think I might just head on over there now 😉
Rlp. Durham’s is ok. A little dry for my taste. The service is friendly.
People who have never had good BBQ wouldn’t know the difference. I tried to like this place several times but it’s just not that good. It’s a tiny lopsided log shack normally good food can come from such a place not so here. You enter and Amish against the back wall a surley cashier takes your order the beef and chicken are very dry and not flavorful. The onion rings were dripping in oil that clearly isn’t changed a lot. No where to eat inside but some picnic tables outside in the parking lot so you can gaze upon elkton Newark Rd, the liquor store or wawa. Skip this place. If you want beef travel down to fast eddies
I stopped in on a Friday on the way to Baltimore to grab a couple of sandwiches. Turkey breast and brisket were great. Be sure to get peppers and onions (free) on the sandwiches as they are simply meat & bread otherwise. They also give the option of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce that they give in a small container on the side. I like the spicy sauce- very tasty and unique. This place is all about the meat and they do a great job with it. Don’t expect to eat there however, no inside seating & only 2 picnic benches outside. *update*- I stopped in on Saturday and grabbed a couple of smoked turkey legs- I highly recommend.
Better early than later. This place has a great smoked brisket, better than average ribs and pork loin and pretty good smoked sausage. That being said, the food is smoked in bulk early in the morning each day and tends to dry out in the late afternoon. Get there by 1:00 PM or earlier to sample their best work. Price could be better, but this place does a good impersonation of a Carolina BBQ shack. No indoor seating is available.
