Not impressed. Terrible service and the food was just OK…not a good combination. Server forgot appetizers and then said she forgot to tell us they ran out of certain items. Won’t be going back.
SMALL PORTIIONS. We went for lunch. Ordered sourbeef and dumplings. Very small portion, dumplings didn’t like. If you want good sourbeef & dumplings go to Silver Spring Inn. My husband ordered bratwurst, just ok, very small portion. This lunch for 2 cost us $40 with no alcohol. Prices too high, no lunch menu, left hungry, won’t be back!!!!
So-so don’t go for family night. The food is pretty good, very small portions for German cuisine. the Currywurst for example features the tiniest German sausage i have ever seen.My biggest peeve was this is in no way set up for anyone with kids, they have no kids menu, they don’t even have a change table for babies.
Love this place!!!. Awesome food and friendly service….Make reservations and be patient. Everything is home cooked and you are not rushed out. We had an inpatient and extremely rude group in front of us at our last outing. They did not understand why the people were not getting up from their tables so that they could sit down….Simply…the people were enjoying themselves. They were asked to leave because they made a scene. Good things are worth the wait and Prost is definitely worth it!!!
Great German Cooking. I adore this place. Book a table in advance because there aren’t many of them and evenings/weekends are always busy. The food is home cooked, comforting, and utterly filling. Skip appetizers and save room for desert.
Awesome German food. If you’re feeling particularly hungry (or want to split something with two or three people), get the sausage sampler. You won’t find it on the menu. You won’t be disappointed, either. And don’t forget to call well in advance. The dining room only has 7 or 8 tables, and they fill up quickly.
DELICIOUS. This is the best place to eat in Aberdeen. The food portions are generous, the food tastes amazing, and the staff is knowledgable,helpful, and fun. There is great variety in the German beer selection, many I have not seen, many that I had been craving. Two tips: 1) call for a reservation or plan on showing up super early because it fills up fast and stays packed 2) call ahead about pretzels, they are delicious but they are not made all the time
