Uncle Charlie’s Bistro. Had an event catered by this place recently. The food was fantastic. Everything from vegetarian options/pasta dishes to crab cakes, shrimp, etc. Everyone raved about the food. Let me also make special mention of his home made potato chips, those alone are worth the price of admission. I would strongly recommend this place, and plan to use them again in the future.
Delicious !!. Uncle Charlie’s Bistro has a mix of classic and unique menu items. We’ve had dinner there several times and each time was delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the quality is top notch. Don’t miss this quality restaurant, just around the corner from Washington College.
Excellent Catering!. I recently ordered party platters from Uncle Charlie’s and was delighted at the quality, taste, presentation and price. The marinated flank steak was lean and tender, and the fruit presentation lovely! And last but not least, a very competitive price. Definitey my go to place for future parties!
My husband and I decided to stop here on our way through town. We were not sure what sort of place this was, but as it was lunchtime we thoght to try it. We were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, service was friendly and the food was good! I had the oyster po’ boy and my husband had the caesar salad with crab. The salad came out totally covered with crab. My sandwich was good too but I cohls only eat 1/2. We will definately go back!
Very Nice. I have ordered take out on three different weekends and everything has been great. Staff has been very helpful and the food has been great.
Amazing Prime Rib. Went to Uncle Charlie’s last night (Thursday) for prime rib. Started off with cocktails and wine for our party. Steamed shrimp and oysters stuffed with crab imperial were our appetizers – perfectly cooked on a nice beds of greens, great cocktail sauce with the shrimp. We ordered 3 prime rib dinners. Two were to be medium rare and the other between medium and medium rare. They all came out perfectly cooked. None of us wanted a potato so we opted for double vegetables. The prime rib was like butter, amazingly tender, perfectly marbled in a lovely au jus. The vegetable of the day was haricot vert (very thin green beans) with tiny julienne carrots, cooked perfectly. The service was impeccable. Nice to see a new restaurant in town. We’ll be back soon!
Dissapointed. My husband and I were excited to try the new restaurant and went during my lunch hour. the service was slow… we waited for 10 minutes for someone to come take a drink order. when ordering our food i was disappointed to see on the menu that there are no real healthy lunch options (except for salads but even then, there was no healthy dressing options) i ordered the crab melt sandwich and asked if possible to get a salad/vegetable instead of having fries/onion rings/sweet potato fries. they waitress said we could get a side salad instead…5 minutes later she came back and said to have a salad it would be an additional $3. We opted for onion rings and just didn’t eat very many of them. after being in the restaurant for 40 minutes we finally got our food. I was worried about getting back to work on time, so we asked for the bill as soon as she put the plates down. She brought the check but never came back to get the money. As for the food it was good (nothing spectacular) very overpriced for the amount of food you receive. The Crab melt was two english muffins with a small amount of crab, bacon and cheese and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich which was bland and he ended up with a huge puddle of grease in the plate…8 minutes until I had to be back and work and still no sign of the waitress…So I get the nearest server and told him I have to get back to work can he please check us out….he said sure and took our bill with cash and placed it by the register and left it there to get our waitress…..instead of getting our change back our waitress brought us another check. not a very good first impression.
