The servers and chef here are friendly and the space is quite big. The food however isn’t that great. I wouldn’t go here if I was craving Japanese food. I went with family and there were some young kids, so they really enjoyed the show the chef put up for them.
Never again. Possibly the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. Greasy, bland food. Difficult to find wait staff. Drink orders that took 30 minutes. A chef who told no jokes and did one trick. Once. It was painful. Really, really painful. We’ll stick with Masa Hibachi in Silver Spring from here on out.
Benihana. Good atmosphere and food. Busy on a Saturday night though.
Benihana fun!. To be perfectly honest, the number one reason I eat at Benihana isn’t the food. It’s more about the experience –the show that the chef puts on, socializing with friends (and laughing at the chef’s lame jokes), and knocking back a few potent cocktails. But don’t get me wrong. The food here IS good. The beef, chicken, and shrimp is always top quality at Benihana and portions are generous. I especially like the shrimp appetizer and Rocky’s beef and chicken combo. My favorite Benihana location is in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida overlooking the water. The Bethesda location is my second favorite. The only one I’ve been to that I haven’t had a good experience at is Georgetown (the one in the mall)–avoid it all costs. Go to the Benihana with kids, friends, or to celebrate a special occasion with a group. It’s a lot of fun.
