This place styles itself as an oyster bar, & it is, just an atypical one. Very dark, hip, & mod inside, the interior of Black’s was divided lengthwise by a wall, with my table nearer the bar. Most of the seating within view was either cocktail or communal in nature, & much of it was taken with 20-30 yr olds doing as much socializing as dining. There was also a medium-sized patio in front, with overhead strung lighting, which was also heavily used on a Saturday night. Several cold water oysters were available by the piece at a few $ each, as evident from the several chalkboards on the walls. I sampled a pair of 3 types–all were distinct & all were delish. I then had the seafood tacos special, which was nicely done & satisfying. Matt was an excellent server, knowledgeable & timely. I’d love to come back & spend a bit more time here, perhaps al fresco.
