My wife and i have been going here for years, and we have been loyal customers, but they have been going through cooks left and right. When they new hires mess the food up the owner still want the customers to pay for the bad food. He will fire the cook and hire another one, but makes his customers pay for mistakes the untrained cooks make. Time to look for a new place for us to eat.

Glad we stopped by.. Had a nice breakfast here today, on our first visit. Britteny was a wonderful waitress, pleasant and attentive. Reasonable prices and food was good. We’ll be returning to try some lunch or dinner items.
Bad waitress. My parents went here on a gift certificate I purchased. They said the food was acceptable, but the service was the worst service they Ever experienced. The waitress was rude, slamming food in front of them, totally forgetting to bring my Dad a cup of coffee, slamming their plates of spaghetti on the edge of the table & just walking away, never asking a single question. Not even asking can I get anything else for you, slapped the reciept down & rolled. I know they wont go back, & I would LOVE to meet this girl, the rudest waitress ever. Being in the buisness for 24 years, I would like to meet this girl. Thanks for nothing bitch. If you dont like your profession, try college. They teach you there.

I cant believe the rating for essex diner is only 79%….. very disappointing. some people must only prefer greasy salty foods compared to home cooked good quality food… its really sad something like hibachi buffet has a higher score then a home cooked diner restaurant would…. makes me sick. listen to a good review try the essex diner its 110% good!!!!
This is by far the BEST place in Baltimore/white marsh for breakfast! The staff is awesome and it feels like home.
