Nanci. This is a welcoming pub with great staff and excellent food. The historic building is reminiscent of an era long past. If ambience, great food and cheerful, professional staff is something you appreciate then this pub is an excellent choice.
Terrible service, mediocre food.. I am embarassed that I recommended this pub to my mom and cousin (from out of town). From beginning to end, their experience was awful, mainly due to the server who seemed bothered by them. Fire the wait staff, decorate the beautiful, historic building to make it feel more inviting and don’t serve dry, bland food. We will return after you go out of business and someone else reopens, or if the present owner posts on here that they have made the suggested changes, especially the wait staff.
Don’t waste your money. This restaurant is overpriced but seems to use the lowest quality ingredients. The crab cakes are horrific, the shrimp salad is disappointing and the service is terrible. I got the fried shrimp, they came out overcooked and rubbery. A bit expensive for the quality they are serving.
Brew’D Pub. I have been there twice now in the past two weeks for lunch. Both times have been enjoyable. The menu is varied and has something for everyone. The first time I tried the fish and chips, which was excellent. The second time I had the fish tacos and liked them, but could have been more spicy. My fellow diners tried other dishes and really liked them. Sampler beers were a good variety of locals. Desserts were good. I am anxious to try their breakfast menu which is on the weekends. Service was excellent. I definitely will be going there often. Looking forward to when they open the patio.
It was great to walk in and see our favorite bar tender now working there! Decent food. Good beer selection. Atmosphere could use some work. Maybe some old time decor could make the place not feel so empty. Will be back for sure.
