Monocacy Crossing was delicious. The service was ok, but the ambience and the quality of the food made up for it. I'll definitely be returning again.…

Daughters Graduation. Went there Friday evening with a large party for daughters graduation. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Service was great and friendly, place is an old farmhouse which is really cool and eclectic inside, very charming. Now the food, we ordered about 8 different dishes, I tried every single one of the dishes and I can’t decide which was more delicious. Everything was fantastic, but the Jambalaya, for seafood lovers, was fantastic.Highly recommend!!!
Food was absolutely delicious! Wasn’t expecting it to be as fancy as it was so we really underdressed but they made us feel welcomed. I had the rockfish special & I still think about how good it was! must try!
First Class Dining Experience. From the moment we were greeted by the Hostess to our departure (spoke with one of the Owners, Kelley) our party of 4 had a marvelous evening.Waitress was efficient and helpful with selections, food presentation lovely and the taste superb. Yes, bread is well worth the Carbs! This is a hidden jewel. We have traveled to many Cities and this is certainly among the top 5 dinners we have enjoyed. There are no short cuts in quality or customer service by the Owners and Staff, how refreshing!
Great food…. Been twice. Food was very good! Tasty and well prepared. And OH! The bread! WIne wine list was interesting and ample. Had the coconut bread pudding for dessert. Not a huge fan of coconut, but OMG is verrrry good! Only critique…very noisy…Will go back for great food and great service!
One of our favorite places to dine. Duck nachos a must have every time and never disappointed with any of the food. From regular menu items to tasty specials we are always happy. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and very competent. Also, bring your appeitite because the portions are hearty!
Absolutely Charming. Coming home late from the north we found Monocacy Crossing by chance, and in the middle of a thunderstorm. We should all be so lucky to be lost in this splendid area. The building seems quaint, almost rustic, and at first our hearts dropped when we saw how busy they were. We instantly started to leave when a lovely woman smiled, took our coats and gave us towels to mop the rain before showing us to a quiet table. This took a moment but we immediately felt like family. But the food! My husband ordered their Pork Tenderloin with a Sage-Cider Sauce, that came with Scalloped Potatoes, while I had the Braised Lamb Shank with Mashed Sweet Potato. These main dishes were delicate, moist, perfectly seasoned, and a real culinary delight. With the cozy table they prepared for us, the whole sensation made our worries melt. Two special notes about dining here. Their wine list is awesome, though we had to order two glasses because of a long drive home. But the value? Extraordinary! The main dishes are about $20 when they could easily charge double without complaint. If you are looking for an almost hidden and quiet destination with sophisticated cuisine, Monocracy Crossing is for you. In addition to the food you will discover that often lost romantic flair that a country setting should have. We did not know until we left that the attentive hostess that rescued us was one of the owners. Our special thanks to Kelly Regan (and Rich) for a wonderful dining experience. You made us feel like family on a dark and stormy night!
I’ve been here several times for dinner and lunch. We finally gave up, always disappointed
