Among the best restaurants in the area. Many friends have been with us on numerous occasions and always a pleasant experience. The drinks are good, the food superlative and never pushed or made feel uncomfortable. Always looking forward to going again.
Excellent food. Food was great, best Ive had in a long time! I had the Seafood Pasta. Most places (Red Lobster) will load you up on the cream sauce, not here, it was the perfect amount. A hint of garlic blended well with the good mix of seafood. The menu said large gulf shrimp and I wasnt advised of any changes. There were plenty of small shrimp to make up for it, only wish I had been advised of the substitution. The lobster tails were petite and ample. I couldnt eat it all which for me is rare. It was the best seafood pasta Ive had in a long, long time! Our waitress, Terry, was friendly, well informed of the wines and.very attentive to our needs.Only complaint I have is that it’s a noisy place to dine! It echoed throughout the room, making a terrific dinner not so. I couldn’t have a conversation with my date without leaning over to listen whenever we talked!I recommend some tapestries or some kind of sound deadening substance be used to buffer the soundPrices and serving size is in line with other like restaurants. From the menu:SEAFOOD PASTA large gulf shrimp, lumpcrabmeat & lobster sauted in white wine, garlic &cream served over pasta du jour 24-Lastly, this must be part of the New Market area thing. Many patrons had out their smart phones while dinning. Heads up people, THATS RUDE! Put the things away! I wish the staff would have said something to these inexperienced clientele.
Attempts to be an upscale resturants – fails. This is my third and final visit to Morgan’s Grill. My valentines dinner was a disaster and actually a bit offensive. I ordered a crab cake, comes with small scope of mashed potatoes and veggies, the small portions are fine with me, as I am trying to eat less. However, the crab cake, as small as it was, was littered with shells, I didn’t get through a third of the crab cake and I had already pulled 5 pieces of shell out of my mouth, which is a little rude to do in a restaurant. As a result, I decided not to finish the cake. I explained about the shells to the waiter and that I would not be eating the crab cake. He apologized, asked if I wanted anything else and I declined, I didn’t feel like waiting as the restaurant was pretty busy. The waiter came back and gave me the dessert menu and told me to get anything I wanted, I thought – how pleasant of them, this makes it okay. So I got a slice of cheesecake. The bill came and the crab cake was still on the bill ($20) and there was a credit for the cheese cake. I was so offended that they actually charged me for the crab cake!! I explained to the waiter that I was not paying for the cake. He said he would have to speak with the manager – now I am getting a little pissed. Finally, he came back with a new bill, they removed the crab cake BUT CHARGED ME FOR THE CHEESE CAKE – I MEAN REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS WAS SO OFFENSIVE. They want to be an upscale restaurant but fail miserably!!!!!!!!!!!!! My other visits I was less than thrilled with the quality of the food, I will not be back.
Nice bar area. Never eaten dinner here but the bar is nice and you can always find local regulars in there. Bartenders can be friendlier, they tend to ignore you if you’re not a regular – bad policy for a bar.
I found the food at Morgan’s to be very good and presented nicely. (i.e. the soup and salad bowls are cool) I have only eaten lunch there. I would recommend the restaurant. One note though, the carpet is disgusting and needs to be replaced.
Great Food, Great Atmosphere!. I just had dinner at Morgan’s recently to celebrate my birthday and I loved it! The restaurant decor and atmosphere is very intimate and up scale. It did not feel like I was sitting in the New Market shopping center. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend for a nice dinner or date night.
Its OK. At least New Market has a restaurant, and the food is edible.
