Excellent Dinner!. We tried the Ayse Meze Lounge this New Year’s Eve, they had a five course meal, each course was just outstanding. Will return again soon! Excellent service as well.

I read the critc’s reviews. What do they know? Been here four times in the last 5 weeks . I have had nothing less than an exceptional dining experience.

Good food but terrible portions. This was recommended to me through a friend. I will save the elaboration, the food was admittedly good. Service was good. The food was well executed. However, there is no excuse for the size of portions. Inexcusable. I understand it is supposed to be that style of restaurant, but they go too far. It was disappointing because I really wanted to like it. The whole premise of the establishment is brilliant. But it is all ruined by the portion sizes. It needs to be increased by at least 30%. As it stands I do not recommend this place to you the reader or anyone else. This is why I give it one star. They deserve it.

Like A Staycation. From the first time we braved a cold winter night, in a state of utter exhaustion, to give this new Turkish Lebanese Tapas restaurant a try, we were hooked.Been back at least 6 times, and this is what is so impressive – # 1 – the staff greet you as if they are so happy you’ve joined them and service here has always, and I mean ALWAYS been outstanding. #2 – the food is upscale and bright and oh so tasty, fresh, imaginative without ever being pretentious. I can bring good ole Uncle Bill here and he’ll be just as happy as my foodie/restaurant friends. #3 It’s comfortable, not too noisy and somehow relaxing no matter how busy they are. We’ve tried so many things on the menu it would be hard to name them all but if you’re a vegetarian you will think you’ve died and gone to food heaven at Ayse. If you’re not, you will learn that eating your veggies can be a good thing – take the brussel sprouts for instance. Husband hates this veggie – I am not a fan – our wait person was gently persistent and we capitulated. Oh My God…there aren’t words. The first time we had the mushrooms they were probably a little over sauted, almost caramelized with Marcona almonds and sherry, times since not as caramelized but the first time they were transcendental. I don’t like mushrooms. Could’ve licked the little skillet. That good. Seriously. All of the things you would expect to be good like pita, hummus, falafel, marinated olives etc never fail to please. It’s like Lebanese comfort food. The specials are always worth a try, and the only thing I have ever been disappointed with are either the kebabs or that pizza like thing they do. We had a glazed lamb chop last time that blew us away, the vanilla scallops are also yum to nth degree…Cocktails – like the Pom Fizz put a smile on my day ! But the wines and the beers were all picked to go with the food and I usually have the waiter select whatever for me. We love Ayse….I could eat here every week and never tire of the menu, food, ambience or people. It’s probably a good thing we live 20 minutes away.

So many things to try! Fun food!. So many things to try in the future! We had a great, late lunch and fantastic attentive service. Everyone raves about the brussel sprouts and, as advertised, they are delicious – cooked perfectly with a drizzle of honey, a touch of walnuts and capers. We enjoyed the lahmacun, a simple turkish pizza with ground lamb and beef, arugala, red onion and a sprtiz of lemon. It was a big portion, enough to bring some home. The kibbi, classic lamb and pine nut fritters, were very good. My favorite dish was the lamb stew. I would go back again just to have this! Definately trying the sagnaki (flaming cheese!) next time! Oh, and if we leave room for dessert next time, they say their pastry chef is amazing! Next time, sigh…

Really tasty food and a beautiful space! Definitely try the crispy Brussels sprouts, the olive dip, and the chicken skewers (all of which have much cooler Lebanese or Greek names)!
