I USED to love this place apparently. Went there yesterday and was unimpressed. 🙁 in fact later, I confessed to my family and no one really like it anymore, even my dad.07 Jul, 2012I thought the Teriaki Salmon was amazing and we always go to Sunday Brunch when we are in town. Such a rich buffet.
The food is beyond good. I prefer the downstairs called The Dungeon. They have the best creame of crab soup I’ve ever eaten. The crab cakes are the real thing. I have eaten there too many times to count and have never been disappointed.
A Frederick Tradition. If you like REAL Maryland crab cakes, you have found paradise! No filler – super amazing! The cream of crab soup is a family favorite too! This is our favorite local spot for an upscale dining experience. From family dinners to rehearsal dinner and company parties – Dutch’s is the classy venue of choice!
Pricey, but EXCELLENT!. I’ve only eaten at Dutch’s Daughter a few times in my life, but every single time I’ve been the food is always GREAT. I know that the waiters/waitresses have to go through extensive training in order to secure a job here, so their service is excellent for the most part. Definitely a bit on the pricey side, but expected for such a fancy restaurant.
Thanksgiving at Dutch’es. My family has enjoyed either Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at Dutches for years. The dining rooms are beautiful, service is excellent, and the food fabulous. I love the fact that they include fried oysters along with traditional Thanksgiving fare, but the mashed potatoes are truly the best I’ve ever tasted.
Great Service, Classicly Delicious Seafood. This is a great place. We sat in the lounge, be wary of the seats, the wheels on the chairs move really fast out from under you and my husband fell on his butt while holding our son, lucky everyone was okay, but they should really get new chairs in there. Fresh oysters on the half shell and deep fried oysters for an appetizer. Well seasoned ceasar salads with fresh made bread loafs, right out of the oven. I got the broiled seafood platter. Crab cake, truly all crab, crab imperial, very tasty and buttery, butter broiled shrimp, perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth, and also perfectly cooked scallops. The servers were super friendly, got a fruit plate for the baby. My husband and friend’s steaks were over done and they allowed us to keep the mistake steaks and gave them extra beautiful replacement steaks in a timely manner. Double baked potatoes and broccoli, couliflower and carrots, frozen mix, but tender crisp and good. Coffee was kind of weak, but the peanut butter pie with real whipped cream made up for it. I will be back even though it is a hour drive, but totally worth it.
Really?. Cool atmosphere but that’s it – drinks have no alcohol in them and the food is high priced red lobster at best – don’t waste your money on anything but a beer. We gave it a second try and what a waste – we will never go there again.
