Potential. While this pho shop cum beer/wine store is hidden, small and staffed by a woman who at best ignores you, it has some real potential. Pros: The broth is surprisingly light in color but has good depth of flavor. The sides: bean sprouts, thai basil & jalapeno are fresh, flavorful and plentiful. Cons: Service. No cilantro (replaced by copious amounts of scallion) The rib eye and meatballs are flavorless but offering navel is distinct. The noodles begin as a great gummy clump and take time to become integrated. The beer/wine shop is interesting but the layout confusing. I assume one could have beer or wine, I haven’t tried since I’ve been early and/or asking the woman server would probably cost me a digit. I’ve heard from a friend that they intend to increase the beers offered and it might become interesting to visit in the evening to try their pho at dinner with a good beer which is impossible in most places. All in all, the place has potential because the broth itself is better than many and the ability to have good beer or wine is unusual.
