My family has been going here since it opened. It is by far the best sushi for the price in the DMV. I pay $15 here and get more and better fish than when I pay $25+ elsewhere.Also unlike most sushi places the spicy tuna or salmon is chopped up not mushed into paste. They also make reasonable substitution without a hassle. They even have good uni at $6 for 2.

Love love love this place I eat their at least three days a week and have been coming for at least 6 years. They’re cheap and great quality! Love their spicy Tuna crunch roll!!
Bad Experience but….. We get take out from Yoyogi at least 2 times a month. Have always liked their sushi and other foods. Service by the owner and employees has always been very pleasant, except maybe 1 time. Recently they brought out our food but forgot my daughter’s entry and did not rush that through. Thus my wife ate and mine got cold while i waited for my daughter to get her food. More recently, June 7th 2012 after a grueling long hour day at work my wife ordered their 2 stir fry with noodles and chicken / beef dinners. When i got home my wife pointed out that they were completely wrong. Ran the whole order back, only to be told they don’t make what she ordered anymore. The plastic walk in menus had paper taped over the entrees but know new or any for that matter take out menus on the counter or bar. We have eaten there or take out 4 times in the past 2 months. You would think they would start giving out new menus with to every pick up order or dine in customers. Could have told us on the phone they stopped making our dish. Owner was not there.
I crave this sushi. Consistently fresh, delicious, traditional. Fast service, but don’t expect to sit around and chat. Long stays are not welcome. Closed on Tuesday for buying fish.
Unbelievable value! Delicious, plentiful. We’ve discovered sushi gold.
