Best Sushi in Baltimore Area. Edo has the best sushi in the Baltimore area, and I drive from Howard County to the Owings Mills location whenever I want yummy salmon and Philadelphia rolls. They have the best shumai around as well and their calamari is delicious. Friendly, attentive staff.
Not Good. I each sushi once a week. I prefer Edo Sushi II by the Safeway, but Edo Mae Sushi this is more convenient and on my way home. The sushi has been fair at best. Last week I stopped by for a quick late lunch as I had an appointment to rush off to. I purchased takeout and when I got home, the sushi (Volcano Roll – my favorite) was horrible. It was inedible and I actually spit it out. It was so overcooked it tasted and felt like rubber in my mouth. I had to go to my apt hungry and stop later for something else to eat. I called the restaurant (which I never do) and let them know I had an issue and they asked me to bring the sushi back. Since I was on the road going to an appointment I let them know I couldnt bring it back until the next day. After I hung up, I thought about this and called them back. I was already inconvenienced once with having to get another meal, and now they wanted me to bring it back? Bring back day old sushi from my trash can? I called them back again and asked for a refund of just that roll. They agreed, but said next time I would need to bring it back in. Well, I never got my refund. The staff at this place are neutral to RUDE and the sushi varies from ok to really bad. You wont see anyone smile and rarely will you get a thank you. Go around the corner to Edo Sushi II. The people are so friendly and the sushi has always been good.Although this place is much more convenience, they will never see me at their restaurant again.
Went for first time last night. Got there at 630 and it wasn’t crowded at all. Server was friendly. Picked 4 rolls and they were all great! Definitely recommend red dragon and harbor maki roll. They had many specialty rolls that were 12-18, not much more pricey than if in the city. 4 out 5 stars overall!
Edo Sushi. I ADORE this place. It is the only place in Maryland I have found to remind me of sushi from home (Boston). They have great sushi, wonderful service, and very inexpensive prices. I highly recommend the spicy crab maki and the dragon roll.
A++++++. Edo Mae on Owings Mills Boulevard should not be missed if you are a sushi fan. Great menu and outstanding service. You will pay for quality here! The menu at this Edo Sushi is more extensive than the one next to Safeway on Reisterstown Rd.
Average food and service with small portions. It was clean and the BYOB is nice, but it doesn’t make up for the rest.
