  Not happy – maybe I ordered wrong!!!. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich, the Italian Wedding Soup, the Pizza Steak sandwich, and the angel hair with meat sauce were all just OK. Wasted calories as my wife described – ouch. The service was just OK too – they are struggling to find good help which is understandable. Too many good alternatives.

  Great Food – Bad Management. The food here is awesome. The management is very poor. We just visited this place on December 13, 2013. The parking spaces were icy from the weather. My spouse stepped out of the car and immediately slipped and fell. As soon as we went inside and sat down, I told the waitress what had happened. She went and told the manager. He NEVER addressed the issue at all. In the entire time we were there, he never came to the table to see or speak with us. When we left, no salt or treatment had been applied to the sheet of ice our car was parked on. My spouses hand was bleeding, and the cell phone case had a gash in it from hitting the ice. The manager was unconcerned. Luckily we are 30 and 39 years old. Had that been an elderly person, I imagine it very possibly would have resulted in broken bones. The food is excellent here, but decent management is a very important component to running a reputable restaurant.

  I’ve been coming to Cafe Italia for years & have never had a bad meal or bad service. The pizza is the best in Hagerstown with lots of unusual toppings (eggplant, broccoli). Yes, broccoli is really good on a pizza!
