Always very good!. We have been eating here for many years and if you want real seafood this is the best place in the area! Jumbo scallops and shrimp, Great crabs and oysters and the best cream of crab soup. This is a true seafood house with a really friendly and helpful staff.

VERY DISAPOINTING. On the advice of a local business friend I purchased several dozen steaming clams at the counter. The smell in my vehicle was so bad I could not make it back to work without removing the clams from the vehicle. Rotten clams are like rotten eggs, there is no mistaking the problem. I am appalled that a seafood provider would sell someone dead clams. There are many options in Hagerstown for purchasing good quality seafood, Chic’s is not one of them – stay clear of this rip-off establishment.
Ordered 2 Bushels of #1’s and paid dearly for them. Not only were they small, if legal sized at all, half of the first bushel was obviously reheated. THEY WERE NOT FRESH. Spend your money elsewhere.
Take out. I ordered a bushel of crabs that I paid a decent amount of money for and asked for #1’s, of course the crabs on the top of the bushel looked really good, but by the time I got to the middle and bottom of the bushel I can assure you that they were barely legal size. I will not order from them again and don’t recommend anyone else does. I had better luck with Camerons in Foxshire plaza out of a trailer.
Originally discovered this restaurant when I was stationed in the area on 1989. It remains a cozy hideaway with a shore feel. The food is excellent, especially for the price point, and the service good. Highly recommended to anyone!
