Not Impressed. Had Dinner at Il castello last night On Liberty St. Got there about 8:30 and the actual restaraunt had no customers. Sat at the bar for dinner service. I ordered the Pasta Sample, came with a salad for 12.99. Ceasar salad ok dressing on side in plastic condiment cup fine. Main dish comes out on a metal hot plate swimming in sauce all 3 items centered like an Island covered in cheese. Pasta over cooked tough. Sauce ok nothing mind blowing, Beef rav flat tasteless, Lasanga was ok, stuffed shell again nothing stunning, of course I couldnt taste much of anything over the sea of sauce. I was soo hungry tho I ate it all. Buddy got the chicken parm sub looked much better than my dinner. Black gnats kept doing buzz bys as we ate. Juke Box very very loud! Bar room regulars very loud, employees discussing schedules in front of customers. TV reception snowy. Under age kids allowed to sit in in bar area. Not a very good first impression.

Haven’t dined in the restaurant, but I’ve ordered food in the bar. Great food, both taste and quantity. The prices are very reasonable and the service is very friendly. Check it out. If you don’t like it you won’t have spent too much money so take a chance. I’m glad I did and I will return.
The food here is great, prices reasonable and staff are very nice, but allot extra time since service is usually slow.
You will not get a bad meal at Castello’s. Happy hours are great as well!!!
