Nicest people!!. I was traveling through Hancock, MD. on New Years Eve. My car broke down on the interstate. It was very cold out, we were freezing cold!! A very nice Hancock Police Officer picked us up and took us to the Hancock truck plaza and Little Sandy’s Restaurant to get some warm drinks and to wait for our ride. At first everyone was looking at us sort of suspiciously as we climbed out of a police car, but, as soon as we walked in and explained that our car broke down they were the nicest people you could ever want to meet. Will stop by to support this restaurant on my future trips through Maryland.
It’s probably best to avoid this stop. I tried to negotiate not stopping at a restaurant connected to a truck stop but the driver said it looked quaint and worth our time. Be sure to not stray away from eggs because you can’t screw those up. I made that mistake and regret it. The decor resembles a bad nursing home and the food isn’t a saving grace. It’s a greasy spoon diner without the charm or good food.
