Sit Outside for a Great Time. The food is okay, but the reason why you would go to MacGregor’s is to have a great time. I would sit outside and enjoy the band, as well as great company. I love this place for the enjoyment. If they had amazing food, it would be one of the top spots in Grace.
Very good grub. Serving size on the small side but can’t argue. With great food!
Great place for lunch. We try to visit MacGregors at least once during our visits to HDG. We always go to the bar area which is cozy and friendly (if you don’t like sports – don’t go during football season!) and have a burger, crab pretzel, salad, sandwich, soup or other lunch fare. The portions are ample, food is fresh and there is always a friendly and attentive wait staff. We keep have been planning on trying the outside dining area for dinner but can’t skip our lunches there – well maybe next time!
Awful. Just had the worst dinner and waitress ever. Went to MacGregors in Havre de Grace and our waitress was rude and absent for most of our dining experience. I ordered Seafood Imperial and I literally got 3 shrimp, 1 teaspoon of crabmeat and 2 scallops covered with a teaspoon of imperial crab sauce. My greenbeans were hard and my mashed potatoes were stone cold. Another person in my party ordered chicken and it was raw. The crabcakes were mostly filler and we couldn’t even get a refill!! I don’t recommend this place. I will never go back again and I plan to tell everyone I can about this experience. What a joke!!!! Our waitress laughed when we asked for the manager. She smiled the whole time like she was enjoying what we were going through!!
Nice place. The Chicken Chesapeake was outstanding and the Angels on Horseback (bacon-wrapped oysters with horseradish sauce) was one of the greatest things I’ve ever eaten. Everything else I’ve had there has been pretty standard. Not amazing, but pretty good nonetheless. They have pretty good specials, too.
Great restaurant with great views. Reasonably priced, great views of the water, the Chicken Chesapeake is AMAZING, and the service is good. It does feel a little cramped inside to me, and the cocktails could be better (they’re a little watery), but overall, it’s a nice place.
The firecracker calamari was delish. Stephanie our waitress was absolutely sweet and provided great service.
