Located on the edge the Chesapeake Bay I expected to find some awesome seafood at Tidewater. Sadly I was disappointed. The service was agonizingly slow, even though it was not busy when we visited. Our order was finally taken 20 minutes after being seated. Iced drinks were watered down, presumably from sitting too long after being poured. The food began to arrive another 20 minutes after being ordered and despite the amount of time it took for the food to arrive half of our orders were wrong. Ingredients and sauces that were supposed to be in the food were missing. Some of the dishes were literally the wrong entree. Having been waiting for nearly an hour at this point we just ate what was presented, which was bland to say the least. The entrees as designed by the chef, or at least as described in the menu sounded great but someone in the kitchen couldnt follow the recipe. Management attempted to make things right by offering free drinks. I would rather she have knocked a little bit off of the bill, seeing as we were cheated out of food. I will not return and do not recommend Tidewater.

There were 4 soups, 4 non-alcoholic drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 salads and a crab cake sandwich. The bill was almost $100 without tip. Really? The food was o.k. but nothing special. The server must be new. ..spilled my husband’s soup and spilled iced tea on my pants. The lunches came before we finished our soups. We had to ask for drink refills, and I got up myself to get ketchup. One salad order was wrong and had to be sent back. The crab cake and fries were just warm. To add to everything else, the ladies room looks like it has not been cleaned in months. This is a lovely location but don’t waste your money.
