A favorite. I eat out a lot and regularly go to the same places. So I know any place can have an off day. However, Pachanga is usually consistently excellent for us. I love the frahitas and the Texas chimi and my margaritas. Their special dinners are usually amazing. I would encourage people to give it a try and decide for yourself.

As Mexican restaurants go, this was pretty bad. The burrito I ordered was not as good as On The Border, a chain restaurant. My wife ordered chicken fajitas, needed salt and seasoning. I won’t return there again. Maybe their mixed drinks are good, but the food doesn’t.

Avoid this Restaurant. I went to Pachanga Grill today for our Cinco de Maya lunch. I ordered the lunch enchilada special listed at $8.95. The menu stated that I had a choice of chicken, pork, or bean cheese enchiladas. I ordered a chicken and a pork enchilada and explained to the waiter that I was not allowed to have beans or bean juice. He stated that he would put them on the side and my husband could eat them since my husband did not get beans with his order. The meal arrived with my enchiladas swimming in the bean juice. To add to the injustice, when the bill arrived I was charged $12.95 and the same waiter explained that I was not allowed to get two different enchiladas from the lunch menu so he had to charge me the dinner price — a fact that he neglected to mention when I ordered the lunch special from the lunch special menu. By the way except for ordering, serving, and giving us the bill, we never even saw our waiter nor did anyone there check to see if our meals were all right despite the fact that there were only about four tables filled with customers when we were in the restaurant.I did not eat my lunch but paid the full amount charged anyway. I will NEVER go back there again and I will not recommend the restaurant to any of my friends.

Black bean soup, quite a disappointment. Don’t waste your money on this soup. It’s basically just a can of black beans dumped into a bowl, salted and topped with a little shredded cheese. Yuck!

Best Margarita in Maryland. Of the three Howard County Mexican sisters (El Azteca, La Palapa, and Pachanga Cocina Mexicana) it’s Pachanga that has my vote. Their Cadillac margarita, made with top-shelf liquor and real lime juice (not sour mix), is strong, tart, and just about perfect. They also win for the best rendition of tacos al pastor: two flavorful soft corn tortillas stuffed with sizzling, juicy, perfectly cooked steak and garnished with pico de gallo. El Azteca and La Palapa have their charms, but quiet little Pachanga is where I’m most likely to go for a mid-week Mexican hit.

Good mole. Like the chicken mole, guac and queso, worth a trip once in a while.

I love Pachanga Grill. Margheritas and food are excellent.
