Gotta give them a shout-out. My two young sons and I drop in for quick lunches when we are out and about on the weekends. Better than chain fast-food with more variety and at a good price. Folks there are nice. We enjoy their selections and they have more than you might imagine. Not just subs and pizza. Gyros, falafel, chicken wings to name a few. If you are in Ellicott City and need a quick bite, skip the chain burger joints and give them a try next to Mars at Route 40 and St. John’s Lane. I think you’ll enjoy it.
Long wait, but good. Went in to grab some quick lunch. Solana’s is in a strip center, has about a dozen small booth-type tables, obviously does a lot of carry-out and delivery. I got the Italian Cold Cut and a slice of pizza. The food was good, about what I expected and what I wanted; fresh and tasty. But I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for it. I thought that was kind of long for a sub/pizza shop.

Awesome. I live in ellicott city and there are many pizza places. many of my friends had told me that solanas was good and cheap. i went there and had a slice. it was AMAZING. the workers were all nice the pizza is great and i had them deliver to me and they had it at my house within 30 min. WONDERFUL I LOVE IT.
Good pizza, but awful delivery.. Good pizza BUT the delivery was slow and haphazard. The last several times we ordered from there it was cold by the time it go to us,and the very last time the cheese was all on one side of the box. It tastes good, but who wants that. We go Pizza Boli’s now. It’s hot and fast and better anyway. And they have green olives =)
The food is great, the workers are nice, and the price is low! It’s perfect!
