OMG – It’s just excellent and unique food – interesting and well done. The Turn House’s service is great and the staff were expert and attentive, and the food was excellent.
It was wonderful dining experience at The Turn House. Overall very good experience. Food was excellent. Only minor complaint is the noise level. I like a vibrant atmosphere but we were shouting across the table.
Dinner at the Turn House A fabulous experience. The dining room is elegant and with a nice warm feel with great big fireplaces. The service was 10 out of 10. Our server was experienced, professional, attentive and personable. (I think her name was Kristen?). Anyway, she was great, whatever her name. The sommelier/manager Tim was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.Desserts were delicious – Chocolate Stout cake a must try. A nice French Coffee that was good. Overall we really like this place.
I have a new favorite restaurant in Howard County its The Turn house. My boyfriend and I delayed celebrating our anniversary and since we feel like we get into the habit of choosing the same old places so I suggested The Turn House. When My boyfriend made the reservation, he told them it was our anniversary so I was expecting some private, romantic table. We were seated right in the next to the fire place and that was great because it was a very cold night. The ambiance is very nice and comfortable – I LOVED it. It took them an extra minute to get our table ready so we got a cocktail at the bar. Once seated, I ordered a glass of a red blend wine which was fantastic. My boyfriend ordered a bourbon and he is a bourbon lover, says they have an amazing section. The bread service is delicious homemade sourdough. Please dont judge but I requested another 2 rounds of the bread. I could seriously have made a meal out of that alone. Next, we ordered the Oysters on the Half Shell they we really tasty from Maryland. I used to live at the beach so I am an oyster snob and these were good Oysters. We both ordered Cesar salads which I would order again.Next, the steak arrived and HOLY COW it was the best I’ve had. The Tomahawk for two, just be prepared to wait a while because it is gigantic. Even though it is for two it was still too much steak for us and I had tasty leftovers. I don’t like fat on steak (I’m weird); I’ve always loved Filet and order it everywhere but the Tomahawk was amazing. We ordered one side dish, the Buffalo Cauliflower that was out of this world. They are essentially Buffalo wings but CauliflowerWe were beyond full but we read so many reviews we had to try the Panna Cotta because the pictures of it persuaded us. It was the BEST! I would go back for sure! The Turn House certainly isn’t cheap but so worth it. Already planning my next trip 🙂
We went to Brunch at The Turn House last Sunday. So glad we did. The ambiance was so inviting and warm. The hostess apologized for the 10 minute wait but we sat at the bar and ordered some drinks. I had a Baltimore Bloody Mary that came with a small glass of beer. I had never heard of that before. My husband had Manhattan that he said was just like it was supposed to taste.I didn’t realize how big this restaurant was until we were seated in the middle dining room. They have a third dining room that would be perfect for a private event as they sliding doors they can close to make it more private. I am thinking this would be a perfect place for my daughters Bridal Shower in May. Our server was very friendly and and the food was great we will be back soon.
I’ve been here twice now and it does not disappointed. The atmosphere is very upscale and beautiful. The food is top notch. The service is noticeably good. Wine list is good and extensive. I’ve enjoyed the steak and the crab cakes and both were very good – perfectly cooked and delicious. This is a go to place in Columbia.
This is a very beautiful restaurant with a great food cooked and served by fantastic people. I highly recommend making a reservation. We had a reservation at6pm, so it was still pretty empty when we got there, but it got pretty busy later. The restaurant is located on the Hobbits Glen Golf course it was formally the Coho Grill . While we really liked the Coho Grill this is not that place, its been totally redone. Dont expect the same menu the Turn House has a very upscale menu. Our server was amazing too. She was so informative, funny, and passionate about their food and stories behind it. Our group had eight people who love food and drinks, so you can imagine how many questions and discussions were going around the table when ordering… (If I was a server, I would hate our group.) She still encouraged us to ask questions and helped all of us decide what to get.Their menu changes depending on the season. We were so happy with every dish. Although this restaurant can be very romantic, it is great to come here with many friends so you can try many dishes with you friends! Remember to save some space for dessert too!
