Horrible lunch. Ham and bean soup completely cold. The soup had bone marrow in it and tasted like marinara sauce. Also ordered kielbasa and received burnt italian sausage instead. Could’nt even finish the soup. Would not eat here again if they paid me!

Oh and I forgot to add the coleslaw. How can you have sweet pork BBQ with out slaw. This too is awesome.15 Sep, 2010Sweet pork BBQ. One of the best w/o going to the Carolina’s. The meat has a fine texture and the BBQ sauce is a tangy, sweet, vinegar flavor all wrapped up in one sandwich that you is so large you have to eat it with a fork. I usually can’t eat the entire sandwich by myself .

Juicy meats and tasty BBQ sauce recipe.. If you order a turkey sandwich, you’ll get a half-inch slab of roasted turkey rimmed with a crusty salt/pepper/spice edge. It’s juicy and will soak through the roll.Their BBQ sauce is unique. It’s sweet. It has a brown sugar molasses-like taste, but it also has a pickle-like vinegar flavor. It’s got substance; you can taste and feel the gritty bits of black pepper and salt. And it has that zing that lets you know that it ain’t ketchup or store-bought. Despite my poor attempts to describe it, it’s definitely worth a try.

So you want some pit beef…. If you like your pit beef medium to medium well, this is a decent spot for you. Uncle Grube roasts his beef in the oven before finishing it on the grill. Weekdays seem to taste a bit better than during his brief Saturday hours of 11 to 4. The interior is not attractive, so don’t go for the sights. But, it’s not the best in town.
