Update 8/7/15Tried this place again, as it is my birthday weekend. Bought a mudslide cupcake for $3.18. The woman who came out from the back to help me was nicer this go round. The cupcake was still nothing special and tasted like a box mix with a little extra baking soda. The icing was cheap and sweet like at yhe grocery store. But there was also a flavored custard/cream under the icing that was tasty. All in all, I ate half and after 2 tries I have decided that I will not be returning. Sad really, because small bakeries are so scarce!—Yummy!. Of all the local businesses in town, this was the only one I wanted to patronize on Small Business Saturday…but alas they were closed!!!Anyhow, we went the next day and got the salted caramel and a chocolate vanilla. I thought the salted caramel cupcake was pretty average and tasted a bit like baking soda. However, the salted caramel frosting was out of this world!!! My son said he liked the taste of the chocolate vanilla iced cupcake.The place was empty when we came in (Sunday around 3), and the two women behind the counter were leaning on the back counter texting and reading and were not too welcoming. This was our first visit ever, and I guess I expected a bit more passion from someone living the dream of baking for a living. Not to worry, as I will certainly be back again!!
