Love Comedy Night. Can’t say much about the food. I order typical bar food but its good for what is it and what you pay. Seriously, its good but if you want fine dining try the Candlelight Inn (just bring a wad of cash). They have a couple bars, great deck, friendly staff and I’ve never waited very long for anything. Plenty of room so you never feel cramped. But I don’t drive across town for their food. I go there for the occasional snack, the laid back atmosphere, cold beer and the Comedy shows. Not sure what Mr. Smith was talking about below…. apparently he got tossed from the place and is a little POed. I’ve known Brad long before he started using his 1st initial and he’s one helluva great guy and darn funny to boot. I have never failed at having a good time at his shows. Is every comic hilarious, well no. Its just like Open Mic Music or Karaoke. Sometimes everyone is great and sometimes you get a stinker in there. But, he mixes it up pretty good so there is always someone very funny. He also gets some great headliners… Justin Schlagel is hilarious! And not only are the beers cold/cheap, the show is FREE!!! Come out one Sunday evening and cap off the weekend laughing. If you don’t come expecting a 5 star restaurant and your own personal waitress then you’ll absolutely have a great time!

Comedy Nights are AWESOME. The comedy nights every Sunday night, are fantastic. It’s an open mic which means you’re not going to see Bill Cosby there, but the show usually has at least 2 professional comedians. It’s incredibly entertaining and it is free. I’ve seen some wild wild stuff go down there on Sunday nights, and aside from the comedy, (or BECAUSE of it) there are always smokin hot chicks there. They love to be part of the show too. Don’t miss out!!!

Chef’s ok; everything else blows.. My lady and I had dinner here Sunday night, in order to check out the comedy club. The shrimp I had was good, but how hard is it to make steamed shrimp? The onions mixed in were a nice touch; they soak up the Old Bay nicely. My date’s steak salad was ok, too; large, although the steak was pedestrian. The service, however, was awful; I had the worst time hailing a waiter; the same one who’d taken our order walked right past my waving hand about 4 times. When I ordered dessert, it took about half an hour to bring the pie and ice cream, and I actually saw a server walk out into the dining room with my dessert in his hand, locate my waiter, have some sort of exchange — and then go back to the kitchen with my dessert. It finally came 15 minutes later. Then… there was the entertainment…and it’s really not accurate to call it that. I’ve seen a million amateur comedians at open-mike nights, people who have never told a joke before a live audience before, and I’ve never seen anything approaching this train wreck. I saw five or six comedians and they were uniformly godawful. The host, who goes by the improbable name of T. Brad Hudson, is an imbecile of the frat-boy jock-strap, morning zoo radio genus; he wouldn’t know a double entendre if it bit him in the ass. The parade of losers he foisted on us in the name of comedy could have been found in any redneck dive in Baltimore County, and they’d have been spewing the same ignorant, brain-dead, racist twaddle — the only difference is that these douchbags would not have mikes in their hands. I suppose in some (Republican/teabag) circles, this would have been considered funny. Unfortunately, I’m slightly more discriminating, and so are you. Don’t go near this place; it will shave IQ points by mere proximity.

Really???. Just called because a few of my recently engaged friends were up there and I wanted to buy a round and they told me after talking to the manager they do not do that. I used to be a restaurant manager…talk about lazy… Have not been there and will not.

Trivia Night. 2306 York RdLutherville, MD 21093(410) 560-7101 http://www.hightoppsbackstagegrille.comTuesday night trivia nights are amazing here at High Topps off of York Road. The 40 or so teams are creatively named with all the innuendo that you need. With plenty of seating indoors and on the patios there is almost always room for your group of friends. The drinks made well, the service when not to busy can be decent. If service gets to busy it appears the bar stop selling draft beers and move to selling bottles. The food quantities are massive. Large salad bowls of french fries to feed the beer and liquor fed masses. The burgers are average, the salads and wraps are tasty. I would recommend the crab dip french fries. This is a good bar for a trivia night/happy hour with friends. I would not sit down for a meal here.

Bad, bad, bad food, terrible management. When I complained about my food that tasted like it was prepared weeks ago, the server brought a manager to the table who suggested that I was a snob and that’s why I didn’t like the food. He was way overly aggressive during this whole process. I really like the deck, it’s a great atmosphere and drinks are priced well. The food sounds SO good on the menu… but the presentation is lacking and the preparation is horrible. I don’t blame the kitchen, it’s probably just shitty SYSCO food.
