So not good. Find another Italian restaurant!. Romano’s macaroni Grill has had a steady decline in service and quality of food. I’ve been going to this particular restaurant for a few years now. My last recent visit will most likely be my last. I had the eggplant and it was bland and in need of more sauce. Same for the side of pasta. My wife’s shrimp portifino was very bland and a much smaller portion than usually given. The calamari was a very small portion for the price paid. Also ordered was chicken strips for a 7 year old that was with us. They were extremely over cooked, very dark in color. I told the manager and asked that they not be cooked so much. The same exact looking chicken strips were brought back out. The waitress said they were dark because of the oil used to cook them. Exactly what type of oil do they use that turns food a very dark brown. It appears as though the chicken strips are pre cooked and over cooked at that. They were replaced with macaroni and cheese which took about 10 minutes to come out. I asked my son if he would like the chicken strips for his dog. He said he would not feed them to his dog. By the way, the second order of burned chicken strips were not even removed from the table.

Not all change is for the better. Romano’s Macaroni Grill used to be my favorite chain restaurant. Their menu has changed quite a bit over the years, not for the better. Selection and quality was lacking on a recent visit with friends. My eggplant parmigiana was dry and had very little flavor. We were seated next to the open kitchen and could barely hear each other talk over all the yelling of the kitchen and wait staff. Won’t be going back any time soon.
Poor service, went for lunch, server NEVER came over to our table, we walked out. Total lack of attention from the hostess and servers. We had a nice lunch with great service somewhere else.
Thumbs Up. The eggplant parmesan is among the best !!!!!!
