Sakura – house of hit or miss. We eat out 3-4 times a week. The kids love the restaurants where the food is prepared at the table, this, you will get at Sakura. What you will not have is a consistent experience. Generally, the food is above average and is served in the correct sequence… soup, salad, appetizer, followed by the rice, meat and vegetables all together as the main course. Our experience this evening was entertaining, but not enjoyable. Our ‘chef’ was clearly inexperienced. He cooked and served the rice at least 15 minutes before the steak, and the vegetables 15 minutes after the steak. For those who ordered chicken, well, they ate first and had finished their meals… except for the veggies that were served after everyone had cleared their plates of rice and chicken or steak. before the red meat eaters had steak on the grill. Additionally, a quarter cup of veggies is not what we consider a serving of veggies, especially at this place that generally half fills your plate with veggies and rice. When the waiter inquired as to our experience, we told him. He came back later to inform us that the manager said that everything is measured out so that it will be the same each and every time. Sorry, in this case, wrong.
